Description

This Strawberry Margarita is the ultimate summer cocktail: fresh, fruity, and naturally sweetened. It’s made with ripe strawberries, fresh lime juice, tequila, and orange liqueur, then blended into a frosty slush that cools you down on the hottest days. Perfect for parties, barbecues, or a relaxing evening, this easy margarita recipe uses only real ingredients—no pre-made mixes here. With options for customization, including non-alcoholic and spicy versions, this is your go-to strawberry margarita for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled)
  • 3 oz tequila blanco (silver)
  • 2 oz orange liqueur (Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • 1.5 oz fresh lime juice (about 12 limes)
  • 12 tsp simple syrup (optional, based on sweetness preference)
  • 1.5 cups ice (adjust for consistency)
  • Salt or sugar, for rimming (optional)
  • Lime wedges and strawberry slices, for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim your glasses with salt or sugar using a lime wedge to moisten the edge.
  • In a high-speed blender, combine strawberries, lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and ice.
  • Add simple syrup if using. Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until smooth and slushy.
  • Taste and adjust—add more lime, syrup, or a splash of water to thin if needed.
  • Pour into chilled, rimmed glasses.
  • Garnish with lime or strawberry, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a stronger drink, reduce ice slightly or add an extra half-ounce of tequila.

Make it non-alcoholic by swapping tequila and liqueur with orange juice and soda water.

For a spicy twist, blend in 1–2 slices of fresh jalapeño
