Instructions
- Make the Hot Fudge Sauce: Heat heavy cream, butter, brown sugar, and cocoa powder in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat, add chopped dark chocolate, and stir until melted. Set aside.
- Prepare the Batter: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold into the wet ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Assemble the Bread: Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Drizzle half the fudge sauce and swirl lightly with a knife. Repeat with remaining batter and fudge.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
