  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth (or water)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Add ground beef, break it up, and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Stir in tomato paste, cumin, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Add beef broth, bring to a simmer, and cook for 10-12 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Adjust seasonings as necessary and garnish with fresh herbs or cheese.

Notes

For extra flavor, add vegetables like bell peppers or carrots.
