- 1 ½ pounds ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free if needed)
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¾ cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon mustard (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs soaked in milk, eggs, chopped onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Spread this glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme to the meat mixture.
If you prefer a firmer texture, add an extra egg or use less liquid in the breadcrumb mixture.
